ABOUT
Between 1987 and 1992, three members of The Red Hot Rhythm Revival toured the world playing 1920s & 30s jazz, ultimately playing over 100 gigs together and forging a close musical bond. Then, in 1992, following a tour of New Zealand, they went their separate ways.
At a reunion dinner in 2022 however, the idea was floated to reform. Just three of the originals were willing and able to find the time to bring the swing - piano, banjo and drums, the heart of the legendary original rhythm section - and the Red Hot Rhythm Revival was born.
As luck would have it, the pianist's son was an ace sax player, and the drummer's nephew a talented multi instrumentalist happy to play bass.
